Songs From Stones (2008)
Commissioned by Cadw (the historic environment service of the Welsh Assembly Government), Songs From Stones took a further step outside the museum door – into the prehistoric landscapes and monuments of Anglesey.
It represented a further opportunity to unite archaeological objects with place through collaboration with the National Museum, Cardiff and Bangor Museum. And to involve community groups and visitors to the island...

The film presents a journey through time and place – beginning in the five thousand year old burial chamber Barclodiad y Gawres, passing through the Bronze Age mine workings at Parys Mountain, the Iron Age spiritual landscape of Llyn Cerrig Bach and Romano-British settlement at Din Lligwy – before finally returning to the eternal solar alignment at Bryn Celli Ddu.
